2022: The Year of Eager Reader Webinars

AGFI is proud to announce that the Eager Reader Webinars had their most successful run this 2022.

The Foundation kicked off the year with three blockbuster webinars: Making Your Own Book with Ms. Eli Camacho and Ms. Kat Matias in March, Making Stories Come Alive with Ms. Michelle Agas and Ms. Gretel Abiling in May, and Preparing an Eager Reader with Ms. Ria de la Cruz and Ms. Ruth De Guzman in June.

The next three webinars, Teaching Beginning Reading, Learning through Play, and The Digital World for Young Learners, garnered the most number of registered attendees since the initiative began in 2020. They were attended by a record high of 100, 87, and 87 people, respectively. The first was facilitated by Ms. Pam Vinoya in August, the second by Mr. Jico Santos and Ms. Sarah Edjan in October, and the third by Dr. Annalyn Capulong and Ms. Charla Saamong in December.

AGFI intends to continue its Eager Reader learning sessions in 2023, both online and in-person. The Foundation shifted from workshops to webinars once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, which allowed the promotion of early stimulation and early literacy to continue amidst lockdowns. To date, it has conducted five workshops and 15 webinars.

All proceeds from the six sessions were allocated for the Foundation’s early literacy programs.
