AGFI and ASKI: Growing Partners, Step by Step

Adarna Group Foundation, Inc. (AGFI) together with ASKI School of Knowledge, Inc. (ASKI) started carrying out Step by Step in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.

Last March, a Memorandum of Agreement for Handang Magbasa implementation was signed between two institutions whose vision is to upskill the capacities of ASKI School’s preschool teachers and daycare parents. To date, the program partner beneficiaries are 3 teachers and 21 daycare parents. All key players were provided with training and reading materials that are essential in their learning journey.

As part of the program design, both groups attended workshops that will further enhance their knowledge and skills in supporting and teaching their young learners. The teachers took part in the Mabisang Pagkukuwento session facilitated by Teacher Sarah Edjan. Aside from the effective storytelling, they also had a discussion on classroom management. Simultaneously, the parents participated in the Pagkatuto at Paglalaro sa Tahanan talk with Teacher Jico Santos. The learning session stressed the importance of play and how it can be integrated in their daily routines.

Moving forward, AGFI and ASKI will continue the program implementation with several M&E activities.

The said collaboration between parties opened a new door in strengthening and growing partnerships in a new community, step by step.
